The Recovery Method
Acupuncture, gua sha, and a Chinese herbal formula delivered as one method - not a menu of three services. Built for pain that keeps coming back, for stress your body is still holding, and for recovery that needs more than a single technique.
Why one method, not three services
Most people arrive with a pattern, not a single symptom. Jaw tension that started with a stressful year. A shoulder that never fully let go after an injury. Sleep that got worse before the pain did. Treating one piece of that in isolation is why the relief keeps wearing off.
The Recovery Method treats all three layers in one coherent plan, because each one makes the next possible. The needles quiet the nervous system so the body will let go. The gua sha releases what the fascia has been holding. The herbs keep the work going on the days you're not in the room.
What's in it
Layer one - Acupuncture. Fine needles at meridian points, placed after a full intake: pulse, tongue, sleep, digestion, stress, and cycles. This is the layer that reaches pain signaling, sleep, and the nervous system.
Layer two - Gua Sha. Controlled strokes along meridian pathways to lift stagnation out of the fascia and clear it through the lymph. Performed inside your session, never bolted on afterward.
Layer three - Herbal Formula. A Chinese herbal formula matched to your constitution, taken at home between visits so the work continues when you're off the table.
Who it's for
Chronic neck, shoulder, and jaw tension. Headaches. Stress that has settled into the body. Recovery that has stalled. Cycle and fertility support. Anyone who has tried one technique at a time and would rather have the whole pattern treated.
The Benefit
- Nervous-system regulation that outlasts the session
- Fascia and lymphatic release in the same visit
- An herbal formula matched to your constitution
- One plan, one practitioner, no rotating roster
- Care that keeps working at home between visits
Questions
Good to know
Is this three separate appointments?+
No. Acupuncture and gua sha are delivered in the same session, and your herbal formula is prescribed at that visit to take home. One appointment, three layers.
How many sessions will I need?+
Allison will outline a plan at your first visit. Acute complaints often respond in three to six sessions; long-standing patterns benefit from a longer series.
Do I have to take the herbs?+
No. The formula is offered because it extends the work between visits. If you'd rather not, your plan is built on the two hands-on layers.
Is it covered by insurance?+
Some plans cover acupuncture. We recommend calling your insurer before your visit, and we are happy to provide documentation to support your claim.
Who performs the treatment?+
Allison Easton, L.Ac (MSOM) - licensed acupuncturist, one-on-one, every single visit.
